Clement Lenglet becomes Tottenham Hotspurs’ 5th signing of the season
The 27-year-old had already agreed to personal terms with Tottenham Hotspurs last week as the club prepare to announce his loan signing soon. The Frenchman becomes Tottenham’s 5th signing of the season this summer.
After Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma, Fraser Forster and Richarlison, Lenglet is set to join the Lilywhites as they aim to finally end their trophy drought with Antonio Conte.
The Italian is a demanding manager and so far, Tottenham has signed every player that the 52-year-old has asked for. It will now be up to him to ensure that he delivered success at White Hart Lane.
Clement Lenglet joins Tottenham after an enduring spell at Camp Nou. The Frenchman went from being the club’s first-choice defender to being their 3rd choice in just a few games. He was also criticised a lot for Barcelona’s humiliating 8-2 defeat to Bayern in 2020.
Nevertheless, Clement Lenglet went on to make 160 appearances for the club since joining in 2018. In that time, the player also 7 goals for the Blaugrana.
