Mohamed Salah is one of the best players in the league and one of the most popular players in the world. Ever since joining Liverpool in 2017 from Roma, he has become one of the most valuable players in EPL, touching a market value of almost €165 million in 2018.
Seven years after joining Liverpool, he is rumored to be leaving the club. With Jurgen Klopp already announcing his departure from the club, many believe Salah could follow suit.
In 2023, the Saudi Arabian Al Ittihad club had attempted to purchase him, with many reports stating it could be the highest transfer fee of all time. The club had rejected the offer, but now it seems Salah will be leaving for Saudi Arabia soon.
Salah’s countryman and former Tottenham Hotspur star, Mido, claims Salah has signed a contract with a club in the Saudi league. Mido, who currently works in broadcasting, claims the winger will be joining a club in the SPL, not specifying which, but will join the very next season.
Jurgen Klopp gives fitness update on Mohamed Salah
Ever since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, Mohamed Salah has managed to play a grand total of one match. He had missed 11 matches across all competitions, including the Carabao Cup finals, due to a muscular injury. Now with an important phase of the season starting soon, where Liverpool are still in contention for all trophies available, they need their star back.
Unfortunately, Jurgen Klopp revealed that the winger was not yet fit and his participation for the FA Cup clash with Southampton was not confirmed. In the pre-match conference, Klopp said the team needed a miracle for some players, including Salah.
We need miracles with a few players, that's why I don't want to rule out for too long but it's touch-and-go for the boys who were not available for the final. Darwin (Nunez), Mo(hamed Salah), Dom(inik Szoboszlai), we have to see what they can do todayJurgen Klopp said in the pre-match press conference
His participation in the fixture with Southampton was finally addressed, with him not being part of the squad. Along with him, Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Darwin Nunez are not in the squad. If Liverpool manage to win this game, they could be a step closer to winning the Quintuple and the Domestic treble.
