Transfer News: Erling Haaland to Manchester City is a ‘done deal’ as he appears for medical tests in England

According to reports, Erling Haaland has officially signed for Manchester City as he appears for the medical test in England and will confirm his signing by this week. His father has been into talks with the English side after the speculation of the forward wanting a new challenge.

Guardiola’s side is in need of a natural center-forward and he thinks that Haaland could possibly fit into his plans. Haaland will sign the contract with a wage of £375,000 per week equalling De Bruyne’s wage and the term ends in 2027 which makes it a four-year deal. Guardiola’s side has agreed to pay the release clause after negotiations and confirms it to be around €60 million.

The contract offers Haaland a wage equal to that of Manchester City’s current highest earner Kevin De Bruyne, but an additional bonus and increment in his wages could make him the highest-paid player on the side. The Dortmund striker has scored 85 goals in 88 games this season, making him one of the most wanted players in the transfer window this summer.

Real Madrid was also targeting Haaland but Manchester City emerged victorious in signing him after he passed the medical tests at the club. Haaland has returned to Dortmund and will join the English side at the end of the season and the news will be official sometime this week.
