Transfer News: Three possible destinations for Gareth Bale after his contract expires with Real Madrid this summer
Gareth Bale
Gareth Bale will become a free agent when his contract expires with Real Madrid in the summer and thus, plenty of European Clubs are sniffing the prospect of acquiring the Welsh.
Just a few years ago, Gareth Bale was on top of the world. He had just won the Champions League and played a crucial part in doing so by coming off the bench to score two match-winning goals with included a bicycle kick goal against Loris Karius in the Liverpool goal. However, the writing was always on the wall as Real Madrid boss Zidane never fancied him and has been on the bench ever seen.
Real Madrid Fans have recently booed him on a number of occasions and there is no sign he will be offered a new contract by the Los Blancos. A number of clubs have been linked with Bale in the past but his astronomical wages have fended off many suitors but still, some clubs are ready to acquire the services of Walsh international.
Here is a list of the three possible clubs in which one could see Gareth Bale in the future-
Newcastle United
Newcastle United with their new riches and takeover might be tempted by the prospect of acquiring Gareth Bale who once terrorized opposition fullbacks with his pace and shooting prowess during his time with Tottenham Hotspurs in the Premier League.
Bale would certainly be an upgrade over Newcastle’s current winger options other than Allan Saint-Maximin such as Ryan Fraser and Jacob Murphy.
Tottenham Hotspurs
Gareth Bale made his name at Spurs where he was their best player for quite many years and won the PFA Player’s player of the year in 2012-13 which lead to his record-breaking move to Real Madrid in the summer of 2013. Bale returned back to Spurs on loan for the 2020-21 season after being an outcast at Real Madrid for the last two seasons. He even bagged a respectable eleven goals and two assists in the PL.
Tottenham is interested in bringing him back in the summer and may help Bale to be back to a familiar background where he has excelled in the past.
Major League Soccer (MLS)
Gareth Bale has always expressed his desire to play in the US and his move to Major League Soccer might be beneficial for both the parties and the league in general.
Clubs like LA Galaxy, Inter Miami and New York Red Bulls are known to make star studded signing in the past and the MLS will have a new franchise player after Zlatan Ibrahimovic departure from LA Galaxy.
