Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema recently put up a story on his Instagram showing a picture of him and Cristiano Ronaldo.

This season has truly been Benzema’s season. He guided the Los Blancos to their 14th Champions League crown after defeating Liverpool in the final at Paris. He has been the tournament‘s highest scorer with 15  goals this season.

Before Cristiano left for Juventus in 2018, the dynamic duo had lifted the European cup four times together in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Both of them were pivotal part of the Real Madrid squads and contributed massively in winning the trophies.

Before joining Real Madrid Cristiano had already won the UCL with Manchester United in 2008 and was the only player to win the UCL five times. After Real Madrid won the UCL this season, Karim along with other Real Madrid players equalled the Portuguese‘s record.

Benzema truly admires Cristiano a lot and has admitted that he has learnt a lot from The legend. They share a wonderful bond both on and off the pitch and this throwback photo is a tribute to their magical partnership.

With the next season on the cards, Cristiano has been linked with a move away from Manchester. He has been linked with Juventus, Roma as well as Chelsea. But whether the Portuguese is to return to Real Madrid or not will still remain speculation.
