“Unfounded”- Zinedine Zidane’s agent quashes rumors linking the Frenchman with PSG for the 2022/23 season
France and Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane’s agent Alain Migliaccio denied the reports suggesting that the Frenchman has an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain. Migliaccio talked to L’Equipe and wanted to clarify the situation.
He said that he is the only person that people can contact to reach to Zidane for official business and PSG have definitely not contacted either him or Zidane yet.
What did Zinedine Zidane’s agent say about the PSG rumors?
Zidane’s agent has come out swinging over reports that Zidane will replace Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain.
Rumors ramped up over the past 24 hours the France national team icon will take over at the Parc de Princes next season.
Pochettino, who was appointed 18 months ago, has failed to help the Ligue 1 club break new ground in the Champions League, with Paris being eliminated in the last 16 by Real Madrid this season.
He told L’Equipe, “All these rumors are unfounded. As of right now, I am the only person who can represent Zinedine Zidane. Neither Zidane nor myself have been directly contacted by PSG’s owner.”
He also said, “All these rumors that are circulating are unfounded.“
The Parisiens wrapped up the Ligue 1 title in April to secure their only trophy of the campaign after yet more Champions League frustration.
Zidane, 49, has been without a club since he departed Real Madrid at the end of the 2020-21 season. It is interesting to see where this saga will lead us as time goes on. We can only hope it leads to more news.
