Real Madrid acquired the services of Fran Garcia in the summer transfer window. The 24-year-old signed for Madrid on a €5 million transfer to fill in for Ferland Mendy, who is unable to stay fit. Even though the former Real Valladolid player performed well initially, his performances have not been satisfactory for Carlo Ancelotti, hence making only 1 appearance in the last 4 games for Real.
This calls for a long-term signing at left-back and Alphonso Davies offers the best option for Los Blancos. It is no secret that Real Madrid are interested in the Canadian. The Bayern Munich defender has been a regular starter for the club at left-back, under Thomas Tuchel, Julian Nagelsmann, and Hansi Flick. His explosive speed, dribbling, and defensive performances have made Davies the perfect man at left-back.

The 23-year-old, Alphonso Davies is under contract with the Bavarians until the summer of 2025. However, a move to Real Madrid in 2024 is looking all the more likely at this moment.
The club has not managed to get the player to sign a contract extension, and keeping in mind the free departure of David Alaba to Real Madrid, the club will look to offload the player while on contract.
Real Madrid sacked club doctor after Arda Güler injury
Real Madrid have decided to part ways with their chief medical officer after Arda Güler suffered a relapse of his previous injury. The club had entrusted Niko Mihic for the past 6 years as the Croatian was in charge of the medical and rehabilitation department at the club. However, Mihic was under scrutiny by club authorities following the excessive amount of injuries at the club.

The relapse suffered by Arda Güler proved to be fatal in terms of Mihic’s career at Real. The 18-year-old is yet to make an appearance for the club, much to the frustration of both the player and the club. As per reports, it was Niko Mihic who opposed the idea of Güler undergoing surgery. The club also feel that he did not diagnose Güler’s injury and that no preventive measures were taken.
The club also pointed fingers at the doctor for the relapse, which could have been avoided if a conservative approach was taken, belives the club. Previous injuries, such as that of Karim Benzema, David Alaba and Dani Ceballos have also caused dissatisfaction. Benzema had to be replaced multiple times throughout the season while Alaba and Ceballos were sidelined for longer durations last season.
