In a bizarre series of events, Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola was stopped by a fan asking for a photograph when the Spaniard was out on his bike in the streets of Manchester City.
The photos showed the Manchester City head coach scared and confused when the fan ran hurriedly towards him to get a photograph. In the clip uploaded to TikTok, the man filmed himself chasing the 51-year-old down a narrow alleyway near Parsonage Gardens in Manchester.
Man City and Pep Guardiola begin pre-season training on Monday
The Spaniard was in Manchester to begin the club’s pre-season training as they prepare to defend their Premier League title and match Manchester United’s record of winning it consecutively 3 times.
The club have already added reinforcements to their squads with the likes of Erling Haaland and Kalvin Philips. The club are also linked with Brighton Marc Cucurella as a potential fullback, while the club have also made some major sales.
They sold Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus to rival clubs Chelsea and Arsenal respectively while they could lose Bernardo Silva to Barcelona as well. However, Guardiola will be confident in his team as he sets his eyes on European glory.
While those in charge of the club have insisted that they put more importance on winning the league than Champions League, Pep will be wanting to finally end his European drought and bring European success at the Ethiad.
Manchester City will face CF America and Bayern Munich in their pre-season tour before returning to England to play the community shield final against Liverpool.
