Real Madrid wonderkid Endrick emulated Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic “SIUU” celebration after scoring a header against Athletico-PR in the Brazilian top flight on Monday. The 17-year-old striker is a prodigy and Real Madrid have already secured his signature for the year 2024.
In the Brazilian Serie A, Palmeiras and Athletico-PR fought to a dramatic 2-2 draw, with Endrick scoring an outstanding low header for the visitors to give them the lead. But it was not after his goal that he pull out the SIU, it was rather after Gabriel Menino scored the second goal for Palmerias in the 57th minute, he and Endrick burst into an iconic celebration. The duo copied Marcelo and Ronaldo’s joint “SIU!” celebration.
Endrick, however, did miss one penalty in the earlier stages of the match. His initial fumble was covered up by the brilliant header. Palmeiras, the visitors, went home with just one point after blowing the lead. Another exciting Brazilian, Vitor Roque, brought Athletic-PR back into the game after a red card to wingback Gustavo Garcia.
The celebration involves the two players giving two high-fives to each other and then bursting into the iconic SIU celebration. The celebration was widely used by Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo during their time at Real Madrid. This celebration is iconic to the duo.
Endrick was also seen swapping shirts with Vitor Roque from the Athletico PR team after the game. Vitor is also a young Brazilian prodigy and is usually seen as a rival to Endrick. Roque was signed by Barcelona for £40 million euros and is due to join them next season. Vitor Roque also scored in the match.
