Atletico Madrid fans were seen fuming against their own players after a 2-0 loss at their home. Villarreal has lately been in a form to worry about having their away 3-0 win.

Atletico Madrid fans were then seen singing prayers and chants against their own players breaking the non-existent Fan-Player code, but is this the first time? Well no, a similar attitude was put on display against their players and president in 2020 when Atletico was beaten by RB Leipzig 2-1.

Atletico Madrid must keep an eye on Unai Emery’s Villarreal

Villarreal had shown strength and persistence over Atletico Madrid having more shots and passing accuracy than them. With the loss of the top contenders to the crowned Real Madrid, Villarreal now leads the way in La Liga 2022-23.
