The wait for the Catalan club finally came to an end after four years. Earlier on Sunday, Barcelona lifted its 27th League title after defeating Espanyol. This season has been very interesting for the Spanish club and Xavi’s men finally brought the trophy back to Catalonia from the capital, snatching it convincingly from their arch-rivals Real Madrid.
The match ended with a score of 4-2. Robert Lewandowsky, the Barca number nine, scored a brace alongside Alejandro Balde and Jules Kounde. Espanyol also fought well but in the end, the Catalan giants pulled through. The home club scored two goals at the very end with the help of Javi Puado and Joselu.
At the end of full-time, the chants of Barca fans started to roar on the streets of Barcelona.
Even the players celebrated on the field and were extremely happy to lift the cup after four years. But in this moment of happiness and joy, both Barca fans and the players didn’t forget the little star of the club. The name Messi was in everybody’s mouth. Fans came to the streets of Barcelona and chanted the name of Messi for hours.
Lionel Messi is leaving Paris Saint-Germain after just two seasons and Barcelona is going to be his primary priority when he does. The fans have also been hyped with the possibility of the homecoming, however, it depends on the clubs being able to free up wage bills to pay Messi’s salary.

Has Lionel Messi signed for Al-Hilal?
Messi is set to leave Paris Saint Germain after recent issues. No club besides Barcelona, Manchester City, and Al-Hilal is convinced to sign the 35-year-old Argentine player. Despite the French club wanting him to extend his contract Messi has now decided to make a move.
Out of three clubs, only two are taking steps to sign La Pulga, Barcelona, and Al-Hilal. Out of these two clubs, an actual offer on the table is only from the Saudi club.
Where fans are hoping for the return of Messi to Camp Nou the club is trying its best to bring the player back but is facing a lot of obstacles in the process. According to many reports, Barca being financially weak can’t sign a player like Messi.
Where on the other side the Saudi club has offered the player a two-year contract with a fee of 500 million euros. Lately, there have been many reports saying Messi has already signed the Saudi club. But that’s not the case father of Lionel Messi who is also his agent has confirmed that his son has not yet signed the Saudi deal. So for now Messi is still waiting for an offer from the Spanish club.
