Turkey saw a horrendous event when the Goalkeeper of Altay in the fixture between Altay and Goztepe was attacked by a fan with the corner flag and was hurt brutally. Soon after the incident, the match was called off and later it was suspended. The league in Turkey has been facing repercussions of the event since then and no sort of action has been taken around the event. Awful scenes and images have been coming up from the stadium.
The goalkeeper Ozan Evrim Ozen was immediately taken to a hospital as he reportedly suffered a hemorrhage. The play was immediately suspended in the first half of the Turkish second-division Derby. The video footage shows the fan jumped on the ground, ran towards the goalkeeper with a corner flag, and hit him twice, the flag was immediately broken from the first hit.
Soon after hitting the player, the staff and fellow players surrounded the situation and managed to overpower the supporter. He was taken into custody; an ambulance was called, and the goalkeeper was sent to the nearest hospital. The man was attacked from behind while waiting for the game to resume. Many people named the event “Classic Turkey” while reacting to the incident, signifying the regularity of such things in the country.

The Turkey Club, Goztepe was relegated and the stands showed continuous disturbances after that. The Goztepe fans accused the Altay fans of the violence where even two children were reportedly injured, Twitter burst out reactions to the awful event, and now the Goalkeeper is conscious and the condition a little more stable.
