After holding talks with all major clubs in Europe including the likes of Chelsea, Bayern Munich, PSG and Atletico Madrid, there is still no certainty where Cristiano Ronaldo will play next season.
He is desperate to play in the Champions League but no club wants to have the 37-year-old given his wages and age. Manchester United still remain content with keeping the player and he will speak directly with the manager to discuss his role should he stay at Old Trafford next season.
Manchester United remain in the hunt for another attacker irrespective of Ronaldo’s future. Second-choice striker, Anthony Martial has been showing massive improvements in his performance over the last few weeks which would give Eric ten Hag come relief over who could lead the attack.
If the former Real Madrid player does decide to stay with the club, he could feature in Manchester UNited’s last preseason game on 31st July against Rayo Vallecano. Having missed the entire pre-season the player has been training alone in his home country, Portugal.
