He grabbed a water bottle and sprayed water at the feet of his former teammate. Then, Ronaldo bolted off while grinning widely. He was left whining about his drenched suede shoes. View the scene below.

Talking to sources to reflect on the moment, Ferdinand said: “Not the suede bro!

Despite being 37 years old, Ronaldo still has a childlike spirit. On Monday night, the iconic striker blanked Jamie Carragher before the game, which instantly went viral. Instead, he exchanged warm embraces with Ferdinand and Paul Scholes on Saturday before shaking hands with Peter Crouch.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s postgame response at Southampton was very different from his response in Brentford

In Saturday’s Premier League encounter, Man Utd defeated Southampton 1-0 to build on their success against Liverpool, and Cristiano Ronaldo’s post-game response was undoubtedly fascinating.

Once more starting on the sidelines, Ronaldo replaced Jadon Sancho in the 68th minute. Before heading down the tunnel after the final horn, he stopped to stroll up to the travelling United fans to cheer them with his colleagues.

In comparison to his response following the 4-0 thrashing at Brentford on matchday two of this season, it was noticeably different. Then, after being instructed by the manager to walk over to their devoted away supporters, the former Real Madrid player made hostile gestures and had a verbal altercation with Steve McLaren.

The iconic number 7’s body language, however, was much more encouraging following United’s 1-0 victory over Southampton at Saint Mary’s on Saturday. Bruno Fernandes’ volley in the 55th minute gave United their second straight victory. The Portuguese star objected, and the two exchanged angry words before exiting the tunnel at the Brentford Community Stadium.
