Recently, a video of Cristiano Ronaldo throwing his son Mateo from one side of the pool to the other has surfaced on social media. This was followed by a smile and a few moments of clapping by the Portuguese star.
The ex-Juventus attacker has been impressive upfront for Al Nassr since joining the side, although fortunes on the pitch of play haven’t been wonderful. He has netted 12 goals in 15 appearances for Al Nassr but he has witnessed the side crash out from two cup competitions, the Saudi King Cup and the Saudi Super Cup.
Cristiano Ronaldo wants to exit Al Nassr just months after he switched to the Saudi side from Manchester United. The 38-year-old who penned a £175-million-a-year deal with Al Nassr that would see him remain at the Saudi Arabian club at least for two years is supposedly said to be feeling nostalgic for a return to Spain. Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi Title hopes revived after leaders lose
Cristiano Ronaldo’s hopes of winning the Saudi league title with Al-Nassr were given a shot in the arm on Wednesday when leaders Al-Ittihad lost 2-1 to Al-Taawoun. Al-Ittihad is still in the driver’s seat on 59 points, three ahead of Al Nassr, with five games left to play. Ittihad also has the upper hand in the head-to-head record between the sides this season.
Fahd Al-Rashidi scored once in each half to give Al-Taawoun a 2-0 lead before Abderrazak Hamdallah replied in the 76th minute. Ronaldo, who has scored 12 league goals since joining Al-Nassr in January, also posted a photo on Twitter with Al-Nassr’s motto in Arabic in the early hours of Thursday. Ronaldo scored his first goal in four games on Friday to help Al-Nassr to a 4-0 win over Al-Raed, keeping alive the team’s slim Saudi Pro League title hopes.
With five matches remaining this season, Al-Nassr remains second in the league, three points behind leaders Al-Ittihad. Ronaldo, who joined Al-Nassr in January on a contract estimated by the media to be worth more than 200 million euros had looked disgruntled in recent weeks as Al-Nassr failed to score in three straight games. There are speculations that he is looking for a move away from the club.
