WATCH: Dortmund fans bid final goodbye to Erling Haaland after his Manchester City switch

The Signal Iduna Park bid a final farewell to their marquee striker Erling Haaland today ahead of his final game as a Dortmund player. The whole stadium was full as the Norwegian was felicitated ahead of the Bundesliga clash against Hertha Berlin.
The Borussia Dortmund players and team management were on the field congratulating the 21-year-old. He received a bouquet of yellow flowers and was applauded by the whole stadium.
Manchester City confirmed that the Norwegian will join Man City after this season. His release clause of € 60 million was paid that guaranteeing his move to the Etihad in the summer of 2022. Haaland will join City on July 1st for the commencement of the new season.
The Dortmund fans showed their gratitude towards Haaland for his astounding contributions to the club. Haaland has scored 85 times in 88 appearances. Haaland delighted his fans by scoring a fantastic penalty in the 68th minute of his last match which made the farewell perfect. The striker will be switching to pursue his dream of winning the Champions League.

Erling Haaland might be the perfect answer to Manchester City’s problems
Man City has been lacking that composure in the final stages of the UCL lately. They have been missing the mark and this season they were knocked out by Real Madrid in spite of having a first-leg advantage.
Haaland can be the final piece of the puzzle that was missing in Pep’s Manchester City team. The Citizens have been lacking a proper number 9 for the season now, and who better than Erling Haaland to fill the void. Along with Erling Haaland, the Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Burki will also leave the club ahead of the next season.
