Erling Haaland cannot keep himself away from football, as he was spotted playing with some children on the beach in Marbella while on vacation. After scoring 29 goals in 30 games for Borussia Dortmund last season and helping Norway finish four points clear at the top of their UEFA Nations League group, the 21-year-old is taking a well-deserved break.

Haaland has signed a five-year contract with Premier League champions Manchester City next week. Haaland shows off his keep-ups by the sea in a game of ‘don’t fall on the shore’ with some kids in a video posted on Twitter. The Norwegian star’s trip to Spain will be a welcome break from his hectic schedule.

Last month, Haaland completed an initial £51 million move to Manchester City, with the club officially announcing his arrival in recent weeks in a glamorous social media campaign, with City recreating a famous photograph of a young Haaland posing in a 2008/9 Citizens kit with their new signing in this season’s shirt. He’s also been looking at homes in Manchester, including the mansion where Paul Pogba used to live.

Erling Haaland will join his new Manchester City teammates in July for his first pre-season with the Citizens

Manchester City are expected to recall their stars in early July, with the first few names expected to pass through the City Football Academy doors for pre-season training. Pep Guardiola will take his Premier League champions to the United States this summer for two warm-up games against tough competition.

City’s first match is against Mexican giants Club America on July 21st. Following that, one of the first names Erling Haaland could face in a City shirt will be Bayern Munich, who will round out their American tour.

Strikers from the Bundesliga have a history of underperforming in the Premier League, but even if Haaland can maintain his goal-per-game average from previous seasons, he will be a dangerous competitor at the Etihad. City fans will be hoping that the big striker can be the final piece in their quest for their first Champions League glory.

There could yet be more names through the door at Manchester City, talks and paperwork for the transfer of Kalvin Phillips from Leeds United are expected to be completed this week. Meanwhile, Marc Cucurella continues to be a strong player of interest to club officials, and the player himself has already hinted at a move north via social media last week.
