Zinedine Zidane is one of the legends in the world of football. The Frenchman was famous for his achievements as both a player and a manager. On the other hand, Pep Guardiola is widely regarded as one of the best managers in the world, and some even consider him one of the best of all time. Interestingly, a throwback video is taking rounds on social media that captures the moment when these two football greats faced off on the pitch.

Pep was an accomplished player too, but not even near to the greatness of his counterpart. As the video shows a dominant Zidane take on Pep in the middle of the pitch. Zidane performed a series of maneuvers and evaded Guardiola, before passing the ball to a teammate.

The former Real Madrid player brought out an array of moves that puzzled the ex-Barcelona player, who did his all to stop him. But in the end, Pep was left in the dust as he was unable to keep up with the Frenchman- who glided past without even breaking a sweat.

However, both players now have transitioned into successful managers. While Zidane helped Real Madrid win three consecutive Champions League titles. Guardiola, on the other hand, has dominated football- and has won the treble twice- once at Barcelona and once with Manchester City.

Zinedine Zidane has been out of the managerial posts for a time now. Now reports emerge, Al Nassr aimed to get the man out of his sabbatical. The Saudi-based club had approached Zidane for a coaching role, but he declined.

Al Nassr was tempted to hire Zidane before the start of the 2023/2024 season. The Saudi giants gave him a chance to be reunited with Cristiano Ronaldo. For that, they offered Zizou a whopping €150 Million deal for managing for 2 years. Although the offer seems tempting, the French legend did not take it.

Even though Zidane declined the offer, he still aims to get back into managing. He did not want to leave Europe and migrate to Saudi, hence the rejection. He remains open to roles in Europe. Al Nassr on the other hand, moved on from Zidane. They signed the Portuguese manager Luis Castro as their new manager for the 2023/24 season.
