Thierry Henry teases Romelu Lukaku
After Inter Milan beat AC Milan in the UCL semi-final with a 3-0 aggregate victory and now they will wait to see whom they will face in the UCL final will it be Manchester City or Real Madrid? Romelu Lukaku is on loan with Milan after a terrible season under Thomas Tuchel following his transfer to Chelsea. Thierry Henry and Lukaku have had a strong relationship since when the former Arsenal and Barcelona forward was a coach with the Belgium national team.
The pair were reunited on the show following the Champions League semi-final victory. While talking to the CBS broadcast crew during a post-game interview host Kate Abdo asked Lukaku, “You guys seem like you are close. Do you miss working with Thierry?”
Lukaku replied, “Yeah I do. Very, very old school and strict. When we met I was at Everton, I think it was my last season. I told him ‘You know what, I want to hear it from you. Give me the business. What can I do better? We sat together every day for that training camp. Eight days, two hours – watching every game and every clip. There your touch was bad, there you did well. It was always half-and-half. And I had my best year in the Premier League that year. And then with the national side, I started scoring every game. I’m very grateful to him – he still does it today.”
He also added, “I like it. Tough coaches who tell me the real things I want to hear. You don’t want to be pampered all the time, I think.” At the end of the interview, Henry asked Lukaku for his shirt but the Belgian striker refused, saying he has to carry out routine tests postgame. Henry then savaged him by saying, “He doesn’t have my body so he doesn’t want to show that.” Henry’s co-pundits Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards lapped it up while the Arsenal icon smiled.

Romelu Lukaku mocks Micah Richards
Romelu Lukaku took center stage during a post-match interview with CBS, mocking Micah Richards for his Italian and hugging Thierry Henry. The Belgian striker spoke to CBS pundits after Inter’s 1-0 win over city rivals Milan in a Champions League semifinal second leg at San Siro.
Lukaku said, “It’s a big final, it was very important for us, we were inconsistent in the league, but we had a turnaround in the last month, and everybody is doing the job. We have a common goal.” Inter have lost 11 games in Serie A this season and Lukaku explained the team’s highs and lows during the campaign.
When asked Lukaku whom would he like to face in the Final? he replied, “Whoever you meet, it’s a big team. Pep Guardiola has a tactical plan for every game. Real Madrid have two quality wingers, Vinicius and Rodrygo, becoming World Cup players, I just want to see a good game as a football fan.” The interview ended with a mockery for Richards who tried to speak Italian making Henry and Lukaku jokingly run away.
