Jude Bellingham has had a brilliant season for Real Madrid. Ever since he joined Los Blancos in the summer of 2023, he has played 18 games and has scored 16 goals, with the most recent coming against Real Betis in a draw.
He scored in the 55th minute after being found by a brilliant ball by Brahim Diaz. As he slotted the ball past keeper Rui Silva, he ran to the corner to celebrate his well-deserved goal. As he pulled out his signature celebration, spreading his arms, he noticed a Betis fan in the front row showing both his middle fingers.
Bellingham just blew a kiss to the fan, pointing at him, and returned to celebrate with his teammates. Unfortunately, the goal wasn’t enough to guarantee them the win as Betis equalized just 11 minutes later. Right back Aitor Ruibal dribbled from the right wing and the edge of the box took a shot. Andriy Lunin dived to save the ball but the ball was away from his reach, and the score now being 1-1.

Despite dominating the game with possession, Betis had more shots attempted and shots on target. Out of the 14 shots taken by Betis, 6 were on target when compared to Real’s 12 shots with 2 on target. Now Real Madrid will travel to Union Berlin in the UEFA Champions League on 12th December.
After that, they host Villareal at home, on the night of the 17th. They hope for Girona to drop points against Barcelona, as the underdogs are just one point behind them with a match in hand.
All record broken by Jude Bellingham this season
Being purchased for an amount of £88 Million (€103 Million), many fans were not sure how long he would take to settle in Spain. But it is safe to say he has exceeded everyone’s expectations with his brilliant performances this season.
In the 18 matches he has played, he has scored 16 goals. Bellingham became the first Real Madrid player to score in each of his first 4 Champions League matches. Along with that, he became the first Real Madrid player to score 14 goals in his first 15 matches, breaking Cristiano Ronaldo‘s record of 13 goals. He is the 3rd youngest player to score 10 Champions League goals, behind Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.
His goal against Betis made him equalize Ronaldo for the most goals scored by a Real Madrid player in their first 14 La Liga games, with both scoring 12. Currently, Bellingham leads the La Liga goal-scoring charts, with Borja Mayoral being 2nd with 9.
