WATCH: Manchester United fans throw beer cans at Liverpool coach with chants of ‘murderers’
Manchester United fans protesting against Glazer's family
Ahead of the match today where Manchester United faces Liverpool, fans protest allegedly against the Glazers family. However, the fans were seen throwing beer cans and bottles at Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp. Fans also call them ‘murderers’ and liars. They came with placards and banners in mass numbers alleging the corruption by the Glazers.
The protest was meant to be against the Glazers but Liverpool claims it to be against them ahead of the match where they face each other. Glazers have been owning the Red Devils since 2005. Then, most of the funding was using loans with a lot of incurring interest.
The group said that the protest was against “an ownership that is systematically starving and killing the greatest football institution in World football, for greed”. The club is alleged to spend a lot of money on transfer fees but failed in creating a strong team.
This incident shook and came out of no expectation for the team members and organizing committee of Manchester United and the fans have taken it as their own issue to save their favorite team from the hands of mere business.
