Barcelona forward, Memphis Depay flew off to Ghana along with national teammate, Quincey Promes to play in a charity game. The duo showcased their beautiful skills and ankle breakers during the game as they raise funds for charity.

Memphis Depay also met the President of Ghana, Nana Addo at the presidential house last night. The duo were holding Depay’s Barcelona jersey as they posed. Reportedly, Barcelona is ready to extend Depay’s contract to June 2025.

Barcelona ready to extend Memphis Depay’s contract to June 2025

Reports by Diario Sport suggest that Barcelona are happy to extend Memphis Depay’s contract at Camp Nou even after a shaky start to his Barcelona career. Depay only made 37 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona, managing 13 goals and 2 assists.

He lost his place in the XI to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and with Barcelona already looking for a new striker, he could go further down the pecking order. Memphis Depay’s current contract expires in June 2023, Barcelona has reportedly proposed to extend the contract until 2025 on the same salary.

Memphis Depay is reportedly ready to challenge any new arrivals for a place in the Starting XI of Barcelona. The 28-year-old needs to play to keep up is form ahead of the World Cup, later this year.
