After the first leg of the Champions League Semi-finals in Santiago Bernabeu Real Madrid is now getting ready to face Manchester City in the second leg at their home stadium Etihad.
On May 10, 2023, Madrid faced Man City and the result of the match was a draw. Both the teams played equally good and but also had some flaws. Real Madrid not attacking and pressing in the first half slowed the tempo of their game and after conceding a goal Man City from the second half adopted a more defensive play style.
Vinicius Jr scored the opening goal for Madrid just before half time and Kevin de Bruyne in the second half just gave the Brazilian a taste of his own medicine by scoring a banger goal to his national teammate.
Despite the draw, Pep Guardiola was happy with the performance of his players and the same goes for Carlo Ancelotti. But now after the first leg, Real Madrid is increasing the gear, doing training, and building themselves to face Man City at Etihad.
Recently Madrid posted a video on Twitter in which all the players were training. Luka Modric was seen lifting weights alongside Rudiger. Vini Jr and Dani Carvajal were also seen exercising with resistance bands. From the video, it looked clear that Madrid was ready to face City in the second leg of the Semi-finals.
