Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool was celebrating his post-season holiday with rivals Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne, with the duo seen together. They also were spotted together in a snapshot along with their wives. They are holidaying in Monaco.
De Bruyne and Van Djik have been known to be friends despite being on the opposite ends of rival teams. De Bryune had previously commented on his relation with Van Djik saying,“I know Virgil; me and Virgil see each other a lot. Our children go to the same school, and they like to play together.”
Van Dijk also unveiled his wish to join forces with the Belgian. He said “Someone that I’ve never played with before but would love at Liverpool is Kevin De Bruyne. He’s unbelievable, and if he would’ve played at Liverpool, we would’ve gone even further than what we have done.
Kevin De Bruyne had a historic season. He clinched the treble with Manchester City and was instrumental in City’s glory. Virgil Van Dijk had a challenging season where the Dutchman continued to make an impressive comeback from his serious knee injury and played 52 times for the Reds.

Gakpo feeds children while visiting ancestral country of Togo
Following his international duties with Holland, Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo was captured on camera feeding kids in Togo. Many Liverpool players have traveled extensively. Gakpo, however, has chosen to act differently from his teammates and has chosen to explore his roots and give back to the community.
The trip to Togo by Gakpo was always planned. In Togo, his family still resides. Although he was born in Togo in 1999, the athlete has chosen to play for Holland. During the beginning of the previous season, he spoke with Elf Voetbal and expressed his wish to return to the nation.
He said: “My older brother has been to Togo, just like my younger brother. Just not me yet. A visit to Togo is still very high on my bucket list. But [finding] the time… It is difficult for a footballer, especially for an international, to plan a longer holiday. I’d like to go. Maybe skip Ibiza in the summer, haha.” Gakpo just did as per his words and even helped out by feeding the homeless kids.
