Thiago Silva

Thiago Silva‘s wife Belle Silva , has taken to social media to show her support for the Chelsea defender. In a post on social media, Silva can be seen chanting “Thiago, Thiago” along with other Chelsea fans, while her husband looks on from the stands.

The Chelsea defender has been in fine form this season, helping the Blues to win against AC Milan. And it looks like his wife is just as big a fan as the rest of us.

All of the other members of the squad, including Thiago Silva, who was entirely rested from the weekend victory over Wolves due to a cold but is in Italy where he participated in the press conference as well, are well and available to play, according to Potter.

“Thiago was okay when we played AC Milan but he just got a little bit worse as the week went on. Because there was only two days in between the games it made no sense to play him again. But he’s recovered well, and he’s been incredibly impressive on and off the pitch. As a leader, he’s a top professional, and a top person so he’s been a joy to work with.”

Chelsea performed brilliantly against AC Milan

Chelsea vs AC Milan

A first-half red card for former Blue Fikayo Tomori ignited Chelsea’s performance against AC Milan in the Champions League, which helped the team win for the first time ever at San Siro and move to the top of Group E.

It ended 2-0 for Chelsea in Italy, and even though we were down to 10 men and couldn’t quite match the 3-0 victory over the same opponents last week at Stamford Bridge, it was still an impressive performance—possibly even more so, given the intense atmosphere inside this enormous old stadium, where we had never before played.

Jorginho took the penalty kick with his customary ease into the bottom corner, and from that point on, things only got better for Chelsea. There was no sign of nervousness on his face.

Soon after we took the lead, the Blues capitalised on the space created by our numerical advantage. After a quick exchange of passes involving Mateo Kovacic, Ryan Mount, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mount skillfully threaded the ball into space in the box, where Aubameyang finished the move with a calm shot low at the near post.

Prior to halftime, Mount had a golden opportunity to increase our lead even more. After the break, there were a few chances for both teams, though Chelsea’s chances were more numerous. But much as at Stamford Bridge, as the game went on, the Blues sapped Milan’s confidence, resulting in another another resoundingly comfortable Champions League victory.
