Harry Kane’s desire to quit Tottenham is no secret. The Englishman is keen on securing some titles and has been in touch with clubs for a move away from the Spurs but remains stuck at the club for now. Premier League legend Wayne Rooney has given his thoughts on the striker’s current condition.
“It looks difficult. It looks like he’s being held as a prisoner at Tottenham. It looks very difficult for him to get out of there,” said Rooney on the current predicament of his compatriot. Bayern Munich is heavily interested in the Spurs forward but is not meeting Tottenham’s valuation.
Rooney also is of the opinion that Kane will be an ideal fit for Rooney’s previous club, Manchester United. United do need a striker, as they have a gaping hole in their attack. Manager Erik Ten Hag is a fan of Kane as well. United, however, does not have the budget to sign him.
This is the second consecutive year that Kane has requested a transfer away from Spurs. He wanted to join Manchester City last year, but chairman Daniel Levy could not agree terms with City. With Spurs having no European football this year, the forward looks determined to force a move through this summer.
Harry Kane is not interested in signing for PSG
Harry Kane has attracted many suitors as he looks for a move away from Tottenham. However, Kane prefers a move to the German Champion, Bayern Munich. French heavyweights PSG have also made an attempt for the Englishman. PSG seems in need of a new striker.
The Englishman himself is not exactly in favor of playing in France. He reportedly has rejected this approach by PSG as he does not want to play in the Ligue 1. He is determined to move to Bayern Munich.
As Bayern finalizes its package for Harry Kane, PSG is looking to move on. Reports emerged that PSG initially wanted to hijack Bayern’s bid for Kane, but now look bleak. They have turned their sights to Dusan Vlahovic, and Bayern are locked in negotiations with Tottenham.
