According to Manchester United attacker Antony, sleeping in the same room as Cristiano Ronaldo has been a positive experience. Additionally, he claimed that the Portuguese star made him feel at ease.

Following his breakout season in the Eredivisie, Antony joined the Red Devils from Ajax for a cost of £86 million earlier this summer. The Brazilian contributed significantly to De Godenzonen’s team last season, scoring 12 goals and dishing out 10 assists in 33 games.

The left-footed inside forward has made three appearances in all competitions since joining Old Trafford and scored one goal. Antony explained to ESPN Brazil how Ronaldo assisted him in adjusting to his new surroundings.

He elaborated: “I’m feeling very happy, and I told this to him because we always follow up and have this dialogue. He always makes me feel comfortable. It looks like I have known him for a long time, and I told him this.”

“He has a beautiful history and he is a huge reference for those who are younger than him. Something flashes in my mind, like we play video games [of him], watch him on television and right now I share some moments with him, for me it is very rewarding.”

“Like I said, I’m still young. I am 22 years old and I’m learning a lot from him.”

Ronaldo, meanwhile, has recently been limited to cameo roles. The seasoned striker has so far scored two goals for Erik ten Hag, the new manager of Manchester United.

Despite his slow start to the current 2022–23 season, Manchester United boss Ten Hag insisted that Cristiano Ronaldo would bounce back in an interview with Sky Sports.

He said: “It’s quite normal. We had lots of players perform well for their nations. Some players who are maybe in a less shape, but one who can deal with that is Cristiano Ronaldo.”
