Despite having a year remaining on his current deal and Bayern having no wish to let him go, Lewandowski has been associated with a transfer away from the club in recent months. While on international duty earlier this week, the Poland striker stated that he wants his time with the Bundesliga winners to come to an end.
If Bayern Munich agrees to allow him to depart the Allianz Arena, Barcelona is anticipated to be his destination, with the German club apparently demanding roughly €32 million for the striker.

According to Bild, the 33-year-old might depart for a lot less because of a loophole in FIFA‘s Regulations, which permits players above the age of 28 to buy themselves out of their contracts.
The legislation allows anyone above that age to exit their contract two years after signing it, as long as the team is rewarded, which would be the approximately €24 million remaining on his contract. Due to former Scotland center defender Andy Webster’s transfer from Hearts to Wigan Athletic in 2006, the regulation is known as the ‘Webster Rule.’
Webster took use of the regulation to get out of his contract and relocate to a foreign nation by giving his side notice and settling the balance of his contract. It’s not something that many footballers have utilized in the 16 years afterward, and it’s something that Lewandowski might surely employ.
