“What the F*** are you doing?” – Erik ten Hag loses temper at Manchester United players despite 3-1 win over Crystal Palace

Manchester United

Manchester United played their 3rd game of the pre-season against Crystal Palace at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. However, despite their 3-1 win against the London club, their manager wasn’t all impressed with how United concluded the game.

The senior yet young attackers of Manchester United continued their flourishing run in pre-season. Anthony Martial scored in his third game in a row thanks to a Diogo Dalot lobbed ball while Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford also got on the scoresheet. Donny van de Beek also enjoyed a decent run and assisted Rashford’s goal.

However, in the second half of the game, when Manchester United had deployed all of its youngsters and U-23 players on the field, the team started to lose control.

As a result, when United couldn’t play through Crystal Palace’s press and left a large void up the field, the Dutch manager was heard shouting, “What the F***” are you doing.

Manchester United look to finally play like a top team under Erik ten Hag

Despite the youngsters’ mistake towards the tail end of the game, there is no denying that Manchester United are looking sharper than ever under Erik ten Hag’s coaching.

The players are pressing the way the manager likes, they’re also scoring some wonderful team goals and all this without their ace, Cristiano Ronaldo playing up front. Anthony Martial especially seems to have finally found his form again as he’s scored in all pre-season games.

Marcus Rashford and Jason Sancho have also improved a lot from the last term and the team is playing as one unit. Erik ten Hag will still have concerns with the midfield as Fred and Mctomniay remain their first choice. However, United are looking to sign more players for the middle of the park.

The team is surely set to improve once new signings Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez join the squad while they continue to work on the Frenkie de Jong deal after reaching a transfer fee agreement with Barcelona.

The Red Devils will now turn their attention to some more midfield options and might also bring in a new attacker to the side. A lot also depends on Cristiano Ronaldo’s future as he remains key part of Erik ten Hag’s plans for next season.
