Thibaut Courtois and Kevin De Bruyne are two of the best players in the Belgium national squad. Both the stars have played several matches together for their country. However, they have never gotten along at all despite playing for the same country.

The reason behind the mutual hatred between both the players is the now ex-girlfriend of Kevin De Bruyne. In 2014 Thibaut Courtois allegedly “stole” the girlfriend of the Manchester City player. However, it was De Bruyne’s girlfriend who claimed that she was having a fling with Courtois, only after KDB cheated on her.

The girlfriend then also gave a chance to the Belgian player, but things were not the same as they were before. Mishel Gerzig said after she broke up with Kevin De Bruyne and hooked up with Thibaut Courtois:

Thibaut Courtois chooses Romelu Lukaku over Kevin De Bruyne to win the Champions League

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois after a bitter defeat from Manchester City in the semi-finals in an interview said that he wanted Lukaku to win the whole thing. In an interview conducted on May 27, the Belgian goalkeeper picked Romelu Lukaku over Kevin De Bruyne as the player who he would like to see win the UCL. It was pretty obvious why Courtois didn’t pick the Man City player.

While speaking to Prime Video, Courtois said:

I hope Lukaku wins the UCL. Obviously, it’s him against Kevin [de Bruyne] but I’ve known Romelu a bit longer. I have a lot of respect for him.
Thibaut Courtois said

However, the odds are certainly in the favor of De Bruyne, but the Champions League is famous for creating news headlines and stories. So it will be very interesting to see whether Lukaku will win the trophy with Inter or not. And whether proves Courtois’s prediction is proven right.
