After yet another transfer saga filled with rumors featuring Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid, head coach Carlo Ancelotti has put an end to speculation.“The transfer market is closed for us,” the Madrid boss said. Mbappe’s transfer situation went through a number of different stages following the World Cup. So, this was disappointing for a large section of Madristas who were highly anticipating a move for the 25-year-old.

Frenchman was dropped from the PSG roster. This was after a fallout with club management when the player chose ‘not’ to extend contracts with the Parisians. The club even left him out of the squad for their preseason in Japan as well as the league opener against Lorient. All cues were pointing at Mbappe heading to the Bernabéu until the player chose to commit to PSG with the club announcing the player’s decision to continue with the defending Ligue 1 champions.

Carlo Ancelotti further confirmed the same through his comments. However, Real Madrid fans are still hopeful as they were quick to recollect how the coach made similar claims but signed Chicharito just a week after the comment back in 2014.

Kylian Mbappe was back in action against Toulouse after being left out of the squad for the season opener against Lorient. The superstar came off the bench to give the away side the lead. It didn’t take the player long to create a scoring chance before being fouled inside the box. Mbappe neatly dispatched the penalty to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. The latest signing Ousmane Dembele also featured for PSG.

PSG haven’t had the best of starts to their season after drawing their first two games in Ligue 1. Next up, they face Lens at home as they seek their first win of the season. While fans will be expecting Mbappe to start the game. Dembele, who was brought in to fill the creative gap left by the departure of Argentine superstar Lionel Messi, will be looking to make an impact as well.
