The mother of Argentine centre-back Lisandro Martinez posted a picture on Instagram with the team’s captain Lionel Messi. Martinez‘s mom was visibly thrilled to meet the PSG star. 

She captioned the post: “a dream I never thought I would achieve. With the best in the world, thank you Mr. football.”

They both were seen posing in the hotel lobby during Argentina‘s international break after the season’s conclusion. Other Argentina team and staff members are also visible in the background of the picture.

Lionel Messi recently Added another crown to his illustrious trophy cabinet. Messi guided Argentina at the Wembley Stadium last month as they beat Italy in the Finalissima. This is the second trophy Messi lifted with the national team after Copa America. 

He also broke a record in an international friendly against Estonia where he scored five goals in a game. He became the only footballer to score 5 goals in a match for both club and country. The last time La Pulga scored five was in the champions league fixture versus Bayer Leverkusen in 2012.

The PSG star is currently holidaying in Barcelona. He was seen attending former teammate Jordi Alba‘s wedding alongside his wife Antonella Roccuzzo.  Former club teammates Luis Suarez and Cesc Fabregas were also present in the Spaniard‘s wedding and were seen posing with Leo.

Messi will be looking to get back to his very best after having a very modest season according to his extraordinary standards. He shocked the whole footballing world with the move to PSG last season, leaving his boyhood club Barcelona after 20 long years. 

This year is certainly very important for Lionel Messi and the Argentina national team as well. The FIFA World Cup starts in November in Qatar. This will be the last shot the great man will have at his most coveted piece of silverware.
