Manchester United has flown to Bangkok as part of their pre-season tour this year and has taken 31 players. 10 of which are young players yet to break into the first team squad of Manchester United but will be hoping to impress Eric ten Hag.

Speaking to MUTV, Eric ten Hag spoke about the youngsters saying, “What I want to see is that they learn but also they show themselves because they have to deserve a position in top football.”
He further insisted, “You have to deserve your position. It means you have to deliver every day, that demands a certain style, a certain way of life that they have to adapt to, that they probably don’t know yet.”
“But I am really looking forward to seeing if they can do it,” he explained. “I hope one or two, they can prove themselves and they come into the squad but, if they want to enter the dressing room, they have to deserve it.”
Some of the prominent young players that will be looking to gain Eric ten Hag’s confidence include James Garner, Alejandro Garnacho, Hannibal Mejbri, Nathan Bishop, and Ethan Laird. All these players have performed exceptionally at the U18 level for club and country.
While James Garner could be up for another loan spell, players like Hannibal Mejbri and Alejandro Garnacho could see themselves in the first team, especially since United currently lack a proper squad depth on their side.
Eric ten Hag is quite known for nurturing young talent and making them world-class players. He managed that with Frenkie de Jong, Mattijs de Ligt, Donny van de Beek, Antony and could now do it at Manchester United.
