Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was hugged by a fan during the ongoing match between Bosnia Herzegovina and Portugal. This was the 199th appearance of Ronaldo for Portugal.
Ronaldo was hugged and lifted off by a fan who came running from one side of the pitch with Portugal’s flag. He bear-hugged Ronaldo and the player welcomed that too and then the man emulated Ronaldo’s trademark ‘Siu’ celebration. Ronaldo was surprisingly a very good sport about the pitch invasion. After that, the fan went running out of the field to get out of the site of security.
Portugal cruised to victory with a 3-0 victory against Bosnia Herzegovina. Manchester City attacker Bernardo Silva scored the first goal right before the first half was about to be over in the 44th minute. The Euro 2016 Champions changed the score line to 2-0 as Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandez scored in the 77th minute. And Fernandez scored the third one too in the 90th minute making it 3-0.
With this victory, Portugal is now at the top of the group J. They just have Slovakia breathing near their neck as they are just two points lower than Portugal in the group tables. They are now set to face Iceland on June 21 before the start of the new campaign of the club football. Then they would face Slovakia and Luxembourg in September.

Fans laugh and support as a pitch intruder hugs and lifts up Cristiano Ronaldo
Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo was hugged and then lifted up by a pitch during today’s Euro Qualifiers between Portugal and Bosnia Herzegovina. Portugal won Ronaldo’s 199th appearance match with a scoreline of 3-0 although Ronaldo couldn’t add any goal to his 122 goals tally.
Fans are reportedly drooling over the “sweet” fan moment that the intruder had with Ronaldo. Many even took to social media to share their opinion regarding the incident. One fan wrote, “It should have been ME… Ohhh,” while another fan wrote, “This guy literally did everything a fan could dream of wow.” And a third fan wrote, “I’m jealous tbh.”
Ronaldo has been one of the biggest icons of the game for the last two decades. While people associate him with a superior ego where calls himself the best, his attitude towards the fan showed his humble and human nature as well.
