Despite Amad Diallo‘s late winner and Jurgen Klopp‘s ‘furious’ post-match interview, football X (formerly Twitter) took notice of one particular young fan during United’s celebrations. Diallo instantly rose to the position of club hero as United booked their spot in the semi-final of the FA Cup. In a viral video showing the celebrations, a young fan was forced to ‘tears’ as he rejoiced following Diallo’s goal.
Liverpool, following Jurgen Klopp’s decision to part ways at the end of the season, have been a force to reckon with. Barring yesterday’s loss, the Reds are still in contention for the Premier League and the Europa League. While United fans found joy in spoiling Klopp’s perfect farewell, a young fan couldn’t hold back tears as he took in the late goal.
The clip shows the young fan completely in disbelief as Diallo’s shot hit the post and went in. His passionate celebration coupled with the crowds reaction and thunderous celebrations made for an iconic video.
The late goal was enough to ‘rattle’ Klopp, as many fans laughed at the German manager’s furious response to a reporter. The clip of the young fan celebrating has gone viral.
Fans react to a young United fan’s passionate celebration
Following a tough run of games and poor form, Manchester United and their fans needed yesterday’s victory. The young fan in tears summed up every Red Devils fan as one labeled that he represented every United fan’s reaction after the goal. Others said a goal like that was worth crying under any circumstance. Some finally said that Ten Hag’s ‘Eras come to an end’ quote was finally coming true.
Amidst all the celebrations, a rival fan came in to comment that all these celebrations will amount to nothing when they end up losing to Chelsea or City in the final. Many imagined how the kid would feel ‘invincible’ next day in school following United’s triumph. Others also said that United gifted the young fan a moment that he will cherish for the rest of his life.
As for the game itself, United are now within touching distance of claiming silverware in a season which many though went terribly for them. In spite of their less than favorable position of sixth, an FA Cup trophy may have the ability to keep United’s season from dipping into the red zone. As for Erik ten Hag, there has been no solid decision regarding his future. That being said, his work in the dugout on Sunday deserves all the praise.
