“I am a big fan” — Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane HAILS Jude Bellingham, wants him to win ‘lots of trophies’

Jude Bellingham has been setting La Liga on fire with his performances for Real Madrid this season. Choosing the iconic number 5 shirt, once worn by Zinedine Zidane, he has proven that the shirt belongs to him. He is the current top scorer of the Premier League and 2nd joint-top scorer in the Champions League, with a combined 20 goals in 26 appearances.

Bellingham has always been a huge Zidane fan, choosing his number as a way to pay homage to his idol, and it looks like his idol has approved. In an interview with Adidas, Zidane admitted that he was a huge fan of the 20-year old, exceeding his expectations.

So far Bellingham has won one trophy with Real Madrid. On the 14th of January, Madrid won the Supercopa de España, beating arch-rivals Barcelona in the finals. He assisted Vinicius Jr for the opening goal.

Carlo Ancelotti believes Jude Bellingham is ‘similar’ to Zinedine Zidane

Days before Zinedine Zidane’s interview, Real Madrid slammed four goals past Girona. Bellingham had scored a brace in the fixture, which ensured Madrid got a 5-point lead over the underdogs. After the match, Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti compared the 20-year old to the Madrid legend, comparing their skills.

Meanwhile, Madrid just edged past the first leg of their Champions League fixture with RB Leipzig. Unfortunately Bellingham missed the fixture due to an injury, but will return by the first week of March. He will be available for the 2nd leg of their Round of 16 fixture against RB Leipzig.
