“Zinedine Zidane is one coach I’d have wanted to have played under and worked with”- Ronaldinho
Zidane and Ronaldinho
Ronaldinho, a former footballing great, has disclosed which current coach he would choose to work under if he were still active in the sport. The Brazilian earned award after award and trophy after title while playing under a slew of world-class managers, but even the finest players feel jealousy for the next generation since they lost out on working with certain people.
The same can be said about Ronaldinho, who admitted that Zinedine Zidane is the coach he would most like to have performed under.
“Zidane, who I always loved as a player and who I like as a coach, is one coach I’d have wanted to have played under and worked with,” he said.
Ronaldinho and Zinedine Zidane together would be a sight to watch:
While at Barcelona and Real Madrid, Ronaldinho and Zidane routinely faced off in ferocious El Clasico derbies, despite never playing together. And Zidane has already lauded Ronaldinho, calling him an “amazing” player.
“Ronaldinho is an absolute legend – a truly exceptional player.” He’s swift, powerful, and possesses exceptional technical skills,” he remarked.
“He can dribble and pass, but he can also make plays for his teammates. He’s not really a number 10; he’s more of a planner.” He’s more of a second attacker with the ability to score goals and the vision to do so.”
Ronaldinho returned to Paris ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League final victory against Liverpool, where he escorted four lucky fans on a tour of the French capital, experiencing the sights and food before watching the final at the Stade de France Stadium.
