Liverpool legend and former Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is back in the Premier League as he looks all set to make his debut as the new Aston Villa manager against Brighton. Gerrard was appointed after Dean Smith was sacked suffering a fifth straight loss against Southampton in their last game. Adam Armstrong’s third minute strike was enough to hand Villa a 1-0 loss. Gerrard has some serious work to do as Aston Villa are sitting 16th in the table with just 10 points so far.

Brighton were not able to capitalise from their performance against Liverpool as they were held to a 1-1 draw against Newcastle United. Leandro Trossard scored a penalty in the 24th minute which he did earned it himself. Isaac Hayden equalised for Newcastle in the second half as the point were shared by both sides in the end.

Aston Villa fans will be hoping for some good results under new manager Gerrard however Brighton will be a difficult game given the recent form of the Seagulls. Brighton however are without their first choice keeper Robert Sanchez after his red card against Newcastle in second half stoppage time. However we predict a draw in this game.
