Harry Kane’s first goal for Tottenham in their 4-2 win over Leicester enabled the English striker to take home the award for a third time in his career. With this award, Kane has now matched Alan Shearer’s record of 3 Premier League Golden boot awards and is just 1 shy of the record holder Thierry Henry who has four to his name.

The 27-year old striker had previously won the award in back-to-back seasons in 2015-16 and 2016-17. Mohammed Salah couldn’t find the net as Liverpool beat Crystal Palace 2-0, so he finished second. Manchester United talisman Bruno Fernandes built on his impressive start to lift at Old Trafford with 18 goals and 12 assists in his first full season with the Red Devils to finish third.

Sunday’s game against Leicester possibly marked Kane’s last in a Tottenham shirt as he is rumoured to be leaving the club this summer. Although nothing has been made official, reports are the striker is keen on staying in England which will definitely enable him to win more Golden Boot awards in the future.

Another Tottenham star, Son Heung-min, shares fourth place with Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford on 17.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (16), Vardy (15), Ollie Watkins (14), Ilkay Gundogan and Alexandre Lacazette (both 13) round out the top ten in the Golden Boot race.
