Kurzawa was initially bought by PSG to fill in the huge shoes of club legend Maxwell at the LB position. Since then, on his day, Kurzawa has been a menace on that left flank. However, due to injuries and bad form, the past couple of seasons have not been good for him. His pace makes him very threatening. He also holds the record of being the first defender to score a hat-trick in the UCL era.

4. Angel Di Maria (since August 6, 2015)

Di Maria has arguably been one of the best signings that PSG has made in the post-takeover era. He settled in quickly after a bad year at Manchester United, as he completed a domestic quadruple in his first year in the French capital. With many attackers coming and going, Di Maria has been able to cement his name as a key player in this star-studded team. His contract runs out next summer, but a renewal may be on the cards.

3. Presnel Kimpembe (since July 1, 2014)

Kimpembe has been rock solid at the back ever since he made his way into the first team. In a team that stays busy in the transfer windows, Kimpembe is special as he is a PSG academy graduate. Kimpembe has also cemented his place in the French National setup and has a bright career ahead as he is still 26. Kimpembe was seen as the long-term successor to Thiago Silva, and he would be looking to prove to the people that have believed in him.

Marquinhos has always been an integral part of the PSG team, and a pivotal piece in the PSG project after the takeover. The perfect man to captain the club, who will be looking forward to captaining some of the greatest players of the game. His versatility and solid defending set him apart from the others. The Brazilian has played more than 320 matches for PSG and is in his 9th season with the Parisians.

Calling Verratti, a club legend, would not be a stretch, as he has not only been with this PSG team for the longest but also has played an important role in the 27 trophies that he has lifted wearing the PSG shirt. He has undoubtedly been one of the most underrated, as his reading of the game, and the precision on his passes look unreal. He also took his A-game to the Euros to win a trophy with Italy.
