PSG replace Phil Collins with DJ Snake after 29 years of ‘Who Said I Would’ entrance music

It has been a great summer for French giants Paris Saint Germain on and off the field, with Ligue 1 outfit bringing in some great players to club. With Leo Messi, Sergio Ramos and Hakimi to name a few looking to take the club to great heights. Manager Mauricio Pochettino has a star studded line up at his disposal.
PSG is making everything possible to inspire the ones at the club and in the stands with the entrance music changed for the first time since 1992. The Phil Collins song ‘Who Said I Would’ has been PSG’s entrance music at Parc des Princes for 29 years, with only a brief change made to ‘O City of Light’ in the wake of the Paris bomb attacks in 2015.
The PSG supporters have grown really fond of this song and felt a bit strange when a different track was played at the home game against Strasbourg on August 14th. First the fans thought it was a mistake and a one-off change, however that was not the case.
“It was not a mistake.” said PSG’s director of diversification Fabian Allegre

The director of diversification Fabian Allegre spoke to Le Parisien and explained the decision. He said “It was not a mistake. We are very attached to this song [the Collins track], I hear it, and our will is not to eliminate it from all our matches.”
“But why couldn’t we have Go West [by the Pet Shop Boys] or the Phil Collins song when the players arrive for the warm-up? I got a lot of positive feedback from people who enjoyed the song.”
He added “We will make adjustments, but let’s not prevent the club from continuing its journey by remaining in the past. If we had taken that approach with everything we have done for 10 years, starting with one of the most important signs, which is the shirt, we would not be where we are today.”We are just as capable of highlighting major international brands or young talents in art or fashion as we are promoting the musical talents of Greater Paris.”
DJ Snake is a 35 old Paris native and was surprised as anyone else to discover his music was selected for the entrance this season at the Parc Des Princes. He is a Grammy nominated performer and producer.DJ Magazine has often voted him in the Top 100 DJs in the world. DJ Snake have worked with the likes of Lil Jon, Major Lazer, Justin Bieber, Cardi B, J Balvin, Sean Paul and Selena Gomez.
