Puma unveils some worst rated third kits for some of the biggest European clubs

Puma revealed the latest range of Third kits and breaks the internet by shocking the clubs and their fans. The radical third kits caused a big stir among the fans.

The German sportswear giant has caused major controversy among the fans, has now also left the players clueless. Many players kiss the crest of their club, which is located at the heart of the jersey, after scoring a goal. But the weird design of the third kit has left the players baffled as there is no club crest in the jersey.

The biggest clubs in Europe, including Manchester City, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Monchengladbach, Marseille, Valencia, PSV Eindhoven, Shakhtar Donetsk, Fenerbahce, FC Krasnador, and Stade Rennais unveiled their new third kit by Puma this Wednesday. Borussia Dortmund, one of the top clubs in the German league, is found to have rejected the controversial third kit, due to the removal of the club’s badge from the front of the shirts.

The format which is followed in the design is the same for all the clubs, with team names written across the chest with the puma logo above and sponsor branding below. The club crest which is usually at the heart of the jersey is replaced with the badge in the background pattern of Jersey.

PUMA was heavily criticised for the third kit design

The latest ‘no-logo range of designs of all the jerseys are more or less the same with a slight change in the pattern and the font of the shirts. Moments after Puma released the third kits, Fans stormed to Twitter to express their resentment. These new kits have totally backfired for PUMA, also being termed as the ‘worst third kits’ ever.

What did Ulrich Planer, Puma Designer say about the new range of Third Kits?

“The third kit is the shirt where we really want to go out there and show what we can do, show something different that has not been seen yet. We wanted to do something that, at least in the European market, has not been done in such a bold statement. From far away, you can still see that this is a Man City shirt,” Puma designer Ulrich Planer said, quoted by VNexplorer.
