Real Madrid boss, Carlos Ancelotti dragged into Pandora paper controversy
The investigation on Pandora papers has revealed the name of Real Madrid manager Carlos Ancelotti as El Pais reported him to be involved with one of the companies regarding some tax problems. The investigation has revealed the names of many politicians as well as 133 billionaires from the Forbes list involved in fradulent activities in the offshore companies.
Pandora papers are a collection of about 11.9 million files from 14 corporate service firms from all over the world where about 29,000 off the shelf companies were set up for clients all over the world. The offshore accounts are mainly set up to hide the original identities of an individual so as to distance themselves from such fradulent activities.

During Carlos Ancelotti’s first term as manager in Real Madrid in 2014-15 allegations were put on him for evading taxes for about €1 million taxes for which he was indicted during his time in Everton last year.
The Madrid prosecutor office last year said, “intending to avoid his tax duties towards the public treasury with no justification.”
During that time many big names in the footballing world also came up on the issue of tax evasion like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Diego Costa and even the Portugues manager Jose Mourinho who all agreed to pay fines.
