Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde has signed a long term contract extension at the club. The new deal will see the Uruguayan midfielder stay at the club till 2027, which is an extension of an added two years from his previous deal.
The interesting thing to note about the contract extension is the fact that Real Madrid have slapped a whopping €1 billion release clause to the player’s contract. The new deal will also see Valverde earn a lot more than his previous years at the Spanish capital.
Real Madrid deem Fede Valverde as one of the untouchable players in their squad

The 23-year old midfielder is touted to take over the mantle of midfield duties from the ageing trio of Modric, Kroos and Casemiro. Valverde rose to prominence under the reign of Zinedine Zidane and impressed everyone through his skill sets.
Valverde has made a total of 104 appearances for Los Blancos so far, scoring 5 goals and registering 6 assist during his stay.
Real Madrid had to fight off interest from Bayern Munich this summer as the German club wanted to sign the promising youngster, and Real have now put those rumours to rest by making him sign the new contract.
The youngster has earned a special place for himself in the hearts of all Madrid fans after his red-card tackle on Alvaro Morata, in the final of the Spanish Super Cup helped Real lift the trophy. The striker was through on goal with just Courtois to beat in the 116th minute of the extra time with the score at 0-0.

Real went on to beat Atletico on penalties and Valverde was awarded with the man of the match award for his match saving tackle. Fede Valverde has also made his mark on the El Clasico after he scored in Real’s 3-1 win in the 2020/21 season.
