Ronaldolima: “ PSG and the Champions League? I played five seasons with the Galacticos and we never won it”

Former Real Madrid striker and Real Valladolid owner Ronaldo Nazario does not think that PSG can surely win the UEFA Champions League even with the addition of Messi.

The Brazilian highlighted his time with the Los Blancos where despite having a star studded squad they were not able to win the most coveted European title.

“It is still too early to say who will win the Champions League,” Ronaldo said in an interview with DAZN as a part of the ‘El Presidente’ series.

The picture begins to take shape at the quarter-final stage. Paris Saint-Germain are in pole position, but it’s one thing to talk and another to play.

There are many factors that influence the outcome on the pitch. I played for Real Madrid for almost five seasons, in the team of the Galacticos, and I never won the Champions League.” added Ronaldo.

He further said “Winning is never automatic, even if you have the best players in your team, and that also applies to PSG.”

Ronaldo had nothing but praise when he was asked about the similarities between him and PSG forward Kylian Mbappe.

Yes, he has similar attributes to me. He has incredible qualities, with remarkable technique that he executes at great speed,” said the Valladolid owner.

He gets past defenders, he goes past goalkeepers… And, despite being very young, he’s already come a long way. I like Mbappe.

Can PSG win the Champions League this season?

PSG new signings this summer

PSG has made some serious additions to the squad this transfer window with signings of Hakimi, Ramos, Donnarumma, Wijnaldum and of course Messi all coming in earlier this summer.

With the likes of Neymar, Mbappe and Verratti already in the team, the French club has more than enough fire power to win the most prestigious title in Europe.
