A teary-eyed Sergio Ramos promises return to Real Madrid in his farewell interview

The inevitable has finally happened as Real Madrid captain and defender Sergio Ramos has announced that he will leave the club at the end of this season.
The defender leaves the club after having spent 16 years after signing from Sevilla in 2005. He is one of Madrid’s greatest captains in terms of what he has achieved at the club and will go down as one of the greatest players to have donned the Royal white jersey of Real Madrid.
Sergio Ramos thanked everyone involved at the club in a emotional speech to sign off his career at Spain
The 35-year old defender was in tears during his Los Blancos farewell: “I’ll come back here one day, I’m sure. I want to say a huge thanks to Real Madrid, I will always carry you in my heart”.
“It’s one of the hardest moments of my life. I came from my father’s hand (crying). I was a child when I came, and today I have a wonderful family. I want to thank you.”
“I want to thank the president, my coaches, my teammates, the club workers. It’s been many years here. It is impossible not to get excited. Thanks to Real Madrid, I will always carry you in my heart.”
“A marvellous stage in my life is over, but a new exciting future awaits and I am looking forward to showing my level and winning some more trophies.”
“This more than a see you always is a see you later because I’ll be back. I would have liked to say goodbye at our stadium, at the Santiago Bernabéu.
“A stage of hope and future opens with great desire to want to demonstrate my best level for many years and to be able to add another title to my record”.
