Former PSG midfielder Thiago Motta’s side have put in some decent performances in their losses against heavyweights like Juventus and AC Milan and pushing them right till the end.

Against Juventus they came from 1-0 down to lead the game 2-1 early in the second half but were eventually beaten by the Old Lady 3-2 in what was a thrilling encounter. However they were crushed 4-0 by Hellas Verona in their last game before the international break and will surely look to bounce back from that defeat against Salernitana.

The visitors and fellow promoted side Salernitana have had a somewhat similar start to their life in Serie A. Salernitana have found some form lately and were successful in registering their first win of the season in their last game against Genoa in a 1-0 win. Milan Duric scored the only goal of the game in the second half to secure their first win in Italian top flight football. Salernitana will surely want to build on from their win against Genoa last time out. Both sides are level on points with 4 with Salernitana just ahead on goal difference.
