El Clasico is often the most followed football fixture in the world. Rightly so, as it goes long down the historical road between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. The recent match-up between Spain’s biggest teams was yet another thrilling encounter.

The Real Madrid winger, Vinicius Junior is the 5th youngest player in the iconic fixture. He was 18 years and 118 days old when he played in his first Clasico for Real Madrid.
He also holds the record for being the youngest teenager to ever score in the fixture at just eighteen years of age. In a total of 15 appearances against Barcelona, Vinicius has scored against them 3 times and assisted twice.
Gavi – Barcelona (17 years and 79 days)
Gavi is the fourth youngest player to feature in El Clasico. He has also won the Golden Boy award for his performances in that very season. The Spaniard was just 17 years and 79 days old when he played the game.
Since his debut for the Catalans, Gavi has made over 112 appearances for the club as a midfielder. He has scored seven times and assisted fourteen times in the course of his time.
Ansu Fati – Barcelona ( 17 years and 48 days)
Ansu Fati became the youngest player in the 20th century to play for the legendary club in El Clasico. He now plays for Premier League team Brighton and Hove Albion.
Fati was just 17 years and 48 days old when he played his first Clasico. He had a steady start to life in Barcelona but struggled with injuries and was eventually shipped off to the Premier League dark horses.
Vicenc Martinez Alama – Barcelona (16 years and 280 days)
Vicenc Martinez Alama was a left-back who appeared for FC Barcelona against Real Madrid in the 1940/41 season. He was just 16 years and 280 days old when he played the game.
The fixture took place at the Chamartín stadium in Madrid and ended in a 4-3 defeat for Barcelona. Martinez made a total of seven appearances for the club.
Lamine Yamal – Barcelona (16 years and 107 days)
Lamine Yamal has become the youngest-ever player to feature in the iconic fixture at just 16 years and 107 days. He has now broken an 82-year-old record which was held by Vicenc Martinez.
Yamal has burst on the scene for Barcelona and has been constantly impressing with his performances. He has so far made 18 appearances for the club scoring once and assisting thrice showcasing a positive future.
