Tottenham Hotspur to announce Paulo Fonseca as their new manager

The hunt for the new Tottenham manager looks to be finally over as Daniel Levy has identified Paulo Fonseca as the next manager. The former AS Roma manager is all set to sign for the London club in the coming hours according to numerous reports.
Fabio Paratici, who is set to become the club’s sporting director, has already held talks with Fonseca this week over a potential three-year contract with Spurs. Fonseca will replace Ryan Mason at the job, who was named as interim manager following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho.
Paulo Fonseca will replace Jose Mourinho as the new Tottenham manager

The Portuguese manager was out of work after his contract with Roma was allowed to expire. He was also named as one of the candidates for Everton’s managerial role after Carlo Ancelotti walked away for Real Madrid.
Tottenham have been frustrated in their efforts to replace Jose Mourinho so far, having ended talks with outgoing Inter manager Antonio Conte after growing concerned over his demands and whether he would commit to blooding young players.
Daniel Levy had also hoped to persuade Mauricio Pochettino to return but he decided to remain at the French capital.
Paulo Fonseca has won three successive league and cup doubles in Ukraine having previously won the Portuguese Cup with Braga. He also led Roma to a fifth place finish in his first season before reaching the Europa League semifinals despite a number of injuries.
Paulo Fonseca’s first priority at the club would be to convince his club captain Harry Kane to stay, after speculations regarding the forward’s future at the club next season.
