Twitter Reacts to FC Barcelona’s poor display in 2-2 draw against lowly ranked Osasuna
FC Barcelona’s recent struggles do not seem to be ending soon, as the Catalan club once again threw away a lead to draw 2-2 against 10th ranked club Osasuna at the El Sadar stadium. Osasuna’s Chimy Avilar scored an exquisite equalizing goal in the 86th minute to get a well-deserved point for his side after the Spanish giants got the lead through a debut goal from Abde.
Xavi has already started to feel the heat as FC Barcelona manager
Nico Gonzalez gave Blaugranas the lead in the 12th minute of the match, however poor defending from them saw the lead slip away two minutes later as David Garcia scored from a corner to equalize for Osasuna.
The stalemate left Barcelona in the 8th position in the league after 16 matches, 5 points off the top four and 15 points off Real Madrid who are currently topping the La Liga table. Barcelona are currently on a two-match unbeaten run following their defeat against Real Betis last weekend.
In the meantime, they have also slipped out of the UEFA Champions League and will play in the Europa League this season, for the first time in 17 long seasons.
